Due to demand for the Teen Intensive, students must submit a qualifying audition. Qualifying auditions must be submitted online through our application portal, Submittable. Only qualifying students will be granted access to register. There is a non-refundable $25 application fee for the qualifying auditions (this fee is waived for conservatory student.) The link to the Submittable form will be sent after you have paid this fee. Please note that these auditions will not determine roles for the musical, only qualification for the program.
Required Application Materials on Submittable:
Statement of purpose (under 500 words)
Headshot. If you do not have a professional headshot, a high-quality, RECENT photo of your head and shoulders is acceptable
Resume of your theatrical, vocal and dance experience.
Vocal Audition Video: 1 minute or less (or 32-bars), from the Broadway Musical Theatre canon of any era, age-range appropriate, ballad or up-tempo, that sits comfortably in your voice. Please use live or recorded accompaniment. A cappella is not acceptable. Please make sure that you start singing at the beginning of the video and do not leave a long instrumental introduction. Please ensure the sound quality of your recording is good before submitting. (Note: This should not be a video from a musical production in which you’ve performed.)
Dance Audition Video: On Submittable, you will find a link to a piece of choreography which you will be expected to learn and then submit a recording of your dancing. Please make sure the lighting quality is good and that your full body (including feet) is in the video before submitting.
