Firehouse Center for the Arts

The Firehouse Center for the Arts has been a cornerstone of our cultural community for over 34 years, earning a reputation for excellence in theatre and arts programming. At a time when arts funding is being cut from schools across the region, the need for accessible, high-quality theatre education outside the classroom has never been more urgent — and we are proud to meet that need.

Our education program provides a continuous path of creative growth for local youth, beginning with our PeeWee Players at just three years old and extending through after-school and vacation programs, Jr. shows, and teen opportunities up to age 17. This long-term engagement fosters not only artistic skills but also confidence, collaboration, and a deep appreciation for the arts — values that shape well-rounded, thoughtful young people.

In a community where many students may not otherwise have access to arts education, the Firehouse serves as both a sanctuary and a springboard — nurturing talent, sparking imagination, and building lifelong connections. This program isn’t just important — it’s essential.
