Refusing all treatment, he decided to spend his last months living meaningfully: seeing the people, places and things which meant most to him during his remarkable life. Then, a miracle happened…
A play with live music comes to Ipswich, direct from the Leicester Square Theatre in London’s West End and before that, from the Southwark Playhouse, following critical and audience acclaim in its initial run at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch in 2024.

An appreciation of Wilko Johnson by award-winning Suffolk broadcaster and Dr Feelgood afficionado Stephen Foster. Foz takes an in-depth look at the guitarist and songwriter’s eventful career and recalls time in the great man’s company.
Billy Bragg, Ruts DC, and Nine Below Zero will join the biographical play about Dr. Feelgood co-founder Wilko Johnson at the Palace Theatre in Southend. The run opens October 12 with a post-show Q&A featuring writer Jonathan Maitland and Dr. Charlie Chan.
