A new play about the end of all things. In this haunting meditation on memory and mortality, two lifelong friends reunite at the end of all things. "We’ll burn that bridge when we get to it: and I guess that’s now” is about the end of everything, metaphorically. Or literally. Or both. At the end of their time together, and time itself, Tophe asks El to join him in throwing every last piece of the universe into a bonfire. El agrees – knowing this is the final chance for the two of them to work through their turbulent history. "A poignant tale of strength, resilience, and the enduring power of familial love." 4/5 Stars | Ryan Lenney | Curtain Call Reviews
"The piece is clever, touching, and beautifully presented. While marketed as a ‘feminist ghost story’, it is not frightening – indeed, we can feel the ghost of Mary Wollstonecraft’s feminism running through it." 4/5 Stars | Mica Anderson | A Young(ish) Perspective
Portia's Julius Caesar, The Space, London, 2024
"Kay Brattan has directed this piece with incredible nuance and precision. The character dynamics are full of pathos, care and by contrast the seething scheming for true power and position in the senate...this was a play that utilised its space well and was a phenomenal retelling of this well known play." 5/5 Stars | Theatre and Tonic
"Portia’s Julius Caesar is a stripped-back, powerful production that zooms in on families, power plays, and where women fit into the seats of power." 4/5 Stars | Louise Penn | LouReviews
