Way Upstream by Alan Ayckbourn is a dark comedy set on a river cruise. Two mis matched couples, arrogant, bossy Keith and endlessly complaining June go on holiday with mild mannered Alistair and sweet, sensible Emma. It is a disaster waiting to happen and things escalate when their boat runs aground and they are rescued by the mysterious Vince. Against a background of industrial unrest and political uncertainty life on the river surges out of control in this hilarious, fast paced comedy.
