The School for Scandal at Tabard Theatre

The 250th Anniversary Production of Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s

‘The School for Scandal’

Adapted by Daniel Wain

“There is no trusting appearances”

Strut & Fret return to the Tabard after their five-star, sell-out triumph Look Behind You - celebrating the 250th anniversary of the English stage’s wittiest, most charming comedy of manners… or lack thereof…

Sheridan’s stinging satire of hypocrisy, self-obsession and fake news is catapulted into the tumultuous turning point of the 1950s. The end of rationing and deference, the emergence of sexual and social freedom, youth culture, rock-and-roll!

A brilliantly biting, timeless battle of the sexes, classesand generations. A whirl of colourfulcharacters, fabulous frocks and twist-again tunes. A once-in-a-semi-quincentennial must-see!
