Asher Monroes long and varied career spans music, theatre, film and television. Born in Virginia, he landed his first role on Broadway at 6 years old. A successful acting career quickly followed: stints in renowned musicals The Sound of Music, Oliver!, and The Prince and the Pauper led him to a lead part in MGMs 2009 Fame, and prominent roles in Parenthood and The Mentalist. However, music has always been his true calling.The Crazy Coqs will see Asher play tracks from his soon to be released album Windows Of Time for the very first time anywhere in the world. A powerful and deeply moving record that sees Ashers artistry mature into a sound that feels utterly timeless. Created with acclaimed producer Walter Afanasieff whose credits include Mariah Carey, Luther Vandross and Barbra Streisand Windows Of Time is an album packed with hushed drama, rich instrumentation and colossal choruses. Lyrically as grandiose as it is soul-baring, a spiritual thread runs through the record, with lead single Midnight Masquerade has been heavily supported by BBC Radio 2 amongst others.The albums cinematic style ripe for the silver screen or, as Elton John suggested when Asher first played him the project, a Broadway musical.Regardless, Ashers ambitions to reach new heights and a global audience now feel fully realised, with The Crazy Coqs being the very first stop on the trip.
