Photos: A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM Cast Explores RSC Outdoor Summer Trail
Cast members including Boni Adeliyi, Chris Jared and Talitha Christina joined the RSC and Unicorn Theatre production.
The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has unveiled new photos of the cast of A Midsummer Night's Dream enjoying the magical outdoor installation in the Swan and Avon Bank Gardens, as the RSC celebrates a successful summer run for the production, at The Other Place.
Inspired by Shakespeare's much-loved comedy, the A Midsummer Night's Dream Summer Trail has invited families to step into the enchanted world of the play, with colourful woven structures, tyre and pencil sculptures and unexpected points of discovery throughout the gardens.
Designed to encourage exploration, play and creativity, the trail has brought the themes of curiosity, transformation and imagination from the stage into the outdoors, offering families a playful way to engage with Shakespeare's story beyond the theatre.

The trail forms part of the RSC's wider summer activities programme, which has offered families and visitors opportunities to discover Shakespeare through play, creativity and exploration throughout the summer. The RSC's summer activities programme is sponsored by the Swan's Nest Hotel.
A Midsummer Night's Dream is the first major collaboration between the Unicorn Theatre, the UK's leading theatre for young people, and the RSC, representing a landmark partnership in children's theatre between two industry leaders.
The world premiere production, for everyone aged seven and up, is a fresh retelling of Shakespeare's classic comedy. It follows four young lovers who flee Athens for the moonlit woods, where they encounter a band of amateur actors and fall under the spell of mischievous fairy Puck. As illusion and reality collide, they tumble into a dream world of magic, mayhem and transformation.
The production is co-directed by Unicorn Artistic Director Rachel Bagshaw and edited and co-directed by Unicorn Associate Director Robin Belfield, with a creative team including Designer Lily Arnold, Lighting Designer Sally Ferguson and Composer/Sound Designer Holly Khan.
Alongside the outdoor trail, the production features creative captioning in every performance, fully integrated into the design, story and magic of the play, as well as integrated BSL performances.
Following its opening at the Unicorn Theatre in March 2026, A Midsummer Night's Dream transferred to the RSC, with performances continuing until 30 August 2026.
