Directorial Debut For Mischief Theatre Member With Exploding Whale's 5* Revival Of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

Resident company of Katzpace Theatre, Exploding Whale return this October with their snappy 5-star revival of Shakespeare's 'Much Ado About Nothing'.

Directed by Ellie Morris, member of the Olivier Award winning Mischief Theatre. This abridged modern twist on one of Shakespeare's most loved comedies was a sell-out hit in 2015, praised for its accessibility, hilarity and energy. The setting has been moved from Shakespeare's Messina to the world of a contemporary office, combining social comedy with all the tensions of a modern workplace environment.

Young lovers Claudio and Hero, have their upcoming marriage jeopardised by the schemes of a jealous and manipulative executive, Don John. Meanwhile the apparently cynical and detached pair of sparring-partners Beatrice and Benedick, bicker hilariously back and forth, disguising their unrealised love for each other behind a facade of lightning-quick banter. As stock taking looms and the workload becomes increasingly heavy, everyone is desperate for an excuse to release the stress and tension. A wedding would be ideal, but will one ever happen?
