Sondheim’s Company at the Dorset Playhouse

The Dorset Players’ production of Company, with music & lyrics by renowned composer Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth, will be presented at the Dorset Playhouse on Friday, May 16 & 23 and Saturday, May 17 & 24 at 7:30pm. Directors Tom Ferguson and Paul Michael Brinker along with Music Director, Michael Gallagher and Choreographer, Susi Thomas have brought to life vivid yet real characters. Audience members will identify with at least one of the onstage characters.

On the night of his 35th birthday, confirmed bachelor, Robert (Michael Nichols-Pate), contemplates his unmarried state. Over the course of a series of dinners, drinks and even a wedding, his friends – "those good and crazy people [his] married friends" – explain the pros and cons of taking on a spouse. The habitually single Robert is forced to question his adamant retention of bachelorhood during a hilarious array of interactions. With the incomparable talents of Joey Blane, Josh Bond, Megan Demarest, Kasey Franzoni, Dana Haley, Jacquelyn Holloway, Danielle Houston, Todd Houston, Joseph Mozer, K. Morgan Prikazsky, Matthew Steckler, Michael Wymer and Renee Wymer.
