Stones in His Pockets at The Dorset Playhouse

Set against the small town backdrop, the story follows two down on their luck Irish men, Jake Quinn (Jeff Cox) and Charlie Conlon (Tom Martins) working as extras in a big Hollywood film. This tale weaves a combination of characters that range from the people of the town, funny, flawed and brimming with hope, to the film crew and eventually the female star, Caroline Giovanni. All 14 characters are effortlessly played by two actors in a dizzying display that has most of the character transitions happening on stage right before your very eyes. As the story and relationship between our two stars evolves, the play takes us on a journey of love, death, laughter and pathos that reminds us who we can be when we let ourselves dream.
