Vancouver Youth Choir presents Village, a choral concert celebrating family, community, and togetherness at the Orpheum on May 24, 2026. The program features more than 600 youth singers ranging in age from 8 to 24, performing music in ten languages including French, Irish Gaelic, Mandarin, Cree, Farsi, and Innu. Special guest Luke Wallace, a Vancouver-based folk artist and activist, joins the ensemble for world premieres of his new arrangement of Easy on the Earth and original composition Be the Arc, alongside three other world premieres including Tipatshimun by Innu composer and VYC alumnus Alex Vollant. The concert is directed by Founder and Artistic Director Carrie Tennant, with conductors Luke McAndless-Davis, Kelly Proznick, Michelle Hartley, Caroline Lempert, and Amber Tsang.
