The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra USA closes the festival on Sunday, August 9, with a program celebrating American musical voices as an official America250 commemoration concert, conducted by Maestro Gerard Schwarz. Featured soloists include cellist Julian Schwarz and pianist Shelly Berg. The program includes Coleman's Umoja: Anthem of Unity, Foote's Cello Concerto, Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, and Gershwin's An American in Paris.
