Funhouse Comedy is back at The New Chapel, Sleaford on Saturday April 18th for more fun and laughter.
Topping the bill is the intelligent, controversially witty, hip and silly Markus Birdman, who got to semis of last year's ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. Regarded by many in the know as one of the best circuit acts in the country, he has toured internationally and had highly acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Festival. His dandyish onstage confidence, versatility and infectious nature result in a truly absorbing performance.
Opening the night will be musical stand-up Richard Morton, who has supported Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jo Brand, Lily Savage and Phill Jupitus on tour as well as having many TV credits to his name. This livewire Geordie comic is full of surprises and frantic energy, bounding around the stage like an overgrown child on a massive sugar rush and then entertaining his audience with his hilarious songs.
Completing the line-up is sharp and engaging stand-up and comedy writer Madeleine Brettingham, winner of Bath Comedy Festival new act of the year and ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ competition; with her intelligent observations, dry humour and warm stage presence.
Compere for the night will be the clever and thought-provoking Anthony Williams.
