The Revelations invites the audience to share in a journey where one man evokes the realms of myth and navigates through otherworlds to find his sense of belonging. Entering into strange lands, meeting and at times embodying mythic figures he embarks on a quest of self-discovery, battling with the past, confronting the present and seeing into the future.
"Elemental...very moving and heart-wrenching" Kath Burlinson (Director, Artistic Director of Authentic Artist Collective) The Revelations is a contemporary mythic tale that seeks to reflect, culturally, socially and personally, the inner life of a human consciousness.Both harrowing and celebratory, this work draws on a diverse set of inspirations from the Biblical Book of Revelation to ancient Greek myth to Native American stories. The audience will be asked to physically join the actor and musician on stage to heighten the intimate atmosphere of the piece and to push the confines of theatrical conventions which is an integral element of the company.
