For their 5th anniversary, Woodhouse&Roderick are excited to present Negativist. Returning to their root, Negativist is part performance, part art experiment and part emotional excavation. “I’m running on four hours sleep. I was thinking about your mother. The dog-piss carpets of her council flat. Each countertop was patterned with fishtanks, filled with sea snails. The screaming. The shouting. Nobody knew you like I did.” Negativist is a raw, filthy, darkly comic one-woman performance about OCD, love, betrayal, sex, art — and the horror of knowing someone so intimately that they eventually become a stranger. Welcome inside the wreckage of a five-year relationship. Negativist drags the audience through shared beds, secret messages, obsessive searches, dirty laundry, fractured memories and the increasingly unreliable evidence of what actually happened. The audience isn't just watching. They're implicated — a messy, intimate collision of sex, grief, paranoia and creativity. Funny. Furious. Vulnerable. A little unhinged.
