Tarragon Theatre proudly presents the remount of its award-winning, critically acclaimed production of Lungs, written by British playwright Duncan Macmillan, directed by Weyni Mengesha, and starring Lesley Faulkner and Brendan Gall. Lungs won the Toronto Theatre Critics' Award for Best Production of a Play in the 2013-2014 Toronto season and was nominated for four Dora Mavor Moore awards.
A bare stage, a man, a woman, a conversation and – infinite possibility. Lungs gives us a no-holds-barred look at a lifetime of love in a time of global anxiety and political unrest. What will be the first to destruct – the planet or the relationship? 4**** from The Globe and Mail: “exhilarating to watch, requiring a constantly engaged level of performance that is near-Olympian. Both actors rise to (the) challenge… the pacing and tone is perfectly pitched throughout. Indeed, the play is so well-directed, you won’t even think it has been directed.
