Scott Thompson Joins BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, 11/25-1/2

Scott Thompson has joined the cast of Beauty and the Beast, The Savagely Silly Family Musical at the Elgin Theatre. The production will take place November 25 through January 2, and will be directed by Ted Dykstra. Not to be confused with Disney's version of Beauty and the Beast, the show was written by Lorna Wright and Nicholas Hune-Brown, with music direction by Mark Camilleri.
Thompson, who is best known for his appearances on television in Kids in the Hall, will cross-dress to play The Dame. Additional cast members include: Ross Petty (Barnum von Cowell), Degrassi's Jake Epstein (Prince Edgar/Beast), and Melissa O'Neil (Beauty).
