Netflix has announced that Walt Disney Pictures' live-action adaptation of the studio's animated classic starring BEAUTY AND THE BEST will begin streaming on Tuesday, September 19th. 

Undoubtedly BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will prove a sure-fire hit for Theatre By The Sea this summer, and audience members of any age are certain to fall under its spell.

Choreographer Anthony Van Laast has worked extensively on both stage and screen, from Mamma Mia! and Bombay Dreams to Harry Potter. His latest project, the life action version of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, is now available on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download.

London's Royal Albert Hall will present DISNEY IN CONCERT: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. The 2017 blockbuster will be screened with a full orchestra. Tickets will go on general sale at 10am on Friday, June 23rd.

The 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards opened with full scale musical tribute to Disney's mega-hit BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. The number featured Josh Gad, who reprised his role as Le Fou, Rebel Wilson as Mrs. Potts, host Adam Devine as The Beast and Hailee Steinfeld as Belle.

In its opening weekend the film made $170 million domestically, an historical record for any March opening. Worldwide the film made $180 million, bringing total opening grosses to $350 million.

Internationally, the film took in an additional $17.8 million on Thursday, bringing its overseas sum to $262 million and worldwide total to $490.6 million. The site predicts the movie will easily cross the $500 million mark worldwide today.

As Walt Disney's “Beauty And The Beast” waltzes its way to the top of the box office, professional singers and netizens alike continue to create countless viral covers of the classic title song from the movie. The latest take on the iconic track “Beauty and the Beast” is from two of the most talented young performers from the Philippines: Elha Nympha and Noel Comia Jr. who both deliver an adorable yet heartwarming rendition of the 1992 Oscar winner for Best Original Song. The country's largest cinema chain, Golden Screen Cinemas, will show the film beginning on March 30 with no cuts and a PG-13 rating.

Actor Josh Gad, who portrays Lefou in Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, surprised guests dining at the Be Our Guest restaurant in New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom in celebration of the new live-action movie.

Audience members attending the Thursday night showing of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at New York City's AMC Loews were treated to a surprise pop-in by Josh Gad, who plays Gaston sidekick LeFou in the live-action film. 

The studio's new live-action adaptation of the film will include a new subplot featuring a flashback to Belle's early days and an explanation for her mother's demise.
