2025 AWARDS SEASON

Jack Abrams may live in Los Angeles, but he's making quite an impression on the Broadway community. The young artist had been filling his Twitter page with photos of figures made from Legos honoring Tony nominated shows. Abrams has expanded his collection to include this year's Tony nominated shows. Check out some of his new creations, via @BroadwayBrick on Twitter, below!

In this production of THE LITTLE FOXES, actresses Laura Linney Cynthia Nixon alternate playing the roles of Regina and Birdie in Lillian Hellman's legendary play about greed and ambition. Both are nominated for a Tony Award, Cynthia for Best Featured Actress in a Play, and Laura for Best Actress in a Play. The Lortel Awards will be presented tonight, May 7, 2017 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST. This year's event will be hosted by actor and comedian, Taran Killam, and will once again serve as a benefit for The Actors Fund.

Everything's coming up Tonys! Spring has sprung, awards season has begun, and the latter is all that really matters to Broadway fans everywhere. Earlier this week, Jane Krakowski and Christopher Jackson announced the 2017 Tony nominees, celebrating the best of the 2016-17 theatre season (and what a season it's been!). Topping this year's list is Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, which received twelve nominations, closely followed by Hello, Dolly! and Dear Evan Hansen- picking up ten and nine nods respectively.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee has announced that based on the recommendation by the American Theatre Critics Association, that the Dallas Theater Center in Dallas, TX, will be the recipient of the 2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award.

The Actors Fund announced today that Bryan Batt will host the 21st Annual Tony Awards Viewing Party honoring Tony Award winning actress and recording artist Betty Buckley on Sunday, June 11, 2017 (3:30-8:00pm) at Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.

Award winning playwright Jonathan Tolins (Buyer and Cellar, The Twilight of the Golds, The Last Sunday in June) will write the 2017 Drama Desk Awards show, it was announced today by Gretchen Shugart, the Managing Executive Producer of the Drama Desk Awards and Charles Wright, the President of the Drama Desk.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee met today for the fourth and final time this season and confirmed the eligibility of 16 Broadway productions for the 2017 American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards®, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The Tony Awards Administration Committee met a total of four times throughout the 2016-2017 season to decide the eligibility for the 71st Annual Tony Awards.
