In February, YAMATO: The Drummers of Japan bring their "genuinely theatrical experience" (Times) to Miami (Arsht Center, February 18),West Palm Beach (Kravis Center, February 19-20), and Melbourne (King Center,February 21), within their United States 30-city tour of THE CHALLENGERS.  The US appearances - from January 18-March 19, 2018 - are part of their 2017-2018 world tour celebrating the Taiko troupe's 25th anniversary.  Other stops in the US range from colleges and universities to large performing arts venues, spanning the entire nation from Maine to California.

The Maxwell C. King Center for Performing Arts, Inc., of Eastern Florida State College launched its third ticket raffle on July 1st. We are happy to announce that Pamilla Desai, of Indialantic is the winner and will now have the opportunity to attend every show at the King Center for the year 2016 including country, jazz and rock concerts, comedy, holiday favorites, family fun entertainment and more! The drawing was held during the intermission of A Christmas Carol on December 19th.

The Maxwell C. King Center for Performing Arts will be hosting a 'Girls' Night Out: A Gray Tie Affair' fundraising event tonight, January 24th at 6pm. The evening will include a ticket to see 50 Shades! The Musical Parody, a reserved parking pass, a pre-show party pass, complimentary hors d'oeuvres and one drink, plus a meet and greet with the cast of the show. Desserts will be served at intermission. The cost for a Gray Tie Party Pass is $115. Gentlemen are welcome. A special area will be reserved in the King Center lobby for pre-show party pass attendees.

Our 'celebrity grill master' will be none other than King Center Executive Director Steve Janicki. The evening will include heavy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, live entertainment and a sneak peek at a couple of new shows coming soon to the King Center. Dress for this event is casual.
