Carrollwood Players Theatre Presents Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare
A CWP Black Box Production
Directed by Cinda Goeken
August 4th - 13th, 2023
Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m.
Sundays at 2 p.m.
One of the Bard’s most loved rom-coms, Twelfth Night is a riotous, guffaw-inspiring good time, featuring some of his best work in the mistaken identity department.
The play centers on the twins Viola and Sebastian, who are separated in a shipwreck. Viola (who is disguised as Cesario) falls in love with the Duke Orsino, who in turn is in love with Countess Olivia. Upon meeting Viola, Countess Olivia falls in love with her thinking she is a man. Is anyone who they seem?
Bold, comedic supporting characters add to the chaos and fun, ensuring an evening of love, laughter, and good old 1600s humor for all to enjoy!
Presented with the support of the Arts Council of Hillsborough County and the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners.
