Released in 2004, National Treasure is the first film in the National Treasure franchise, starring Nicolas Cage as historian Benjamin Franklin Gates, who along with computer expert Riley Poole (Justin Bartha) and archivist Abigail Chase (Diane Kruger) searches for a massive lost Freemason treasure hidden on the back of the United States Declaration of Independence. The film also stars Harvey Keitel, Jon Voight, and Christopher Plummer.
