Carrollwood Players Theatre presents A Christmas Carol Gets Decked by Marc S. Sanders and Joe Pauly A CWP Mainstage Production December 8th - 23rd, 2023 Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. Sundays at 2 p.m. Special Saturday Matinees at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 9th and Saturday, December 16th. This fresh and outrageously funny take on the Charles Dickens classic asks the question "What would happen if everything that could go wrong with a community theatre production of A Christmas Carol - did go wrong? In the spirit of wildly popular shows like The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and other comedy "disaster" plays, A Christmas Carol Gets Decked is a gut-bustingly fun opportunity for community theatre to poke fun at itself with apologies to Mr. Dickens! In addition to a script in which everything that could go wrong does go wrong, Sanders and Pauly deliver a cornucopia of silly jokes, sight gags, re-written holiday songs, and nonstop baffoonery that the whole family will love. Presented with the support of the Arts Council of Hillsborough County and the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners.
