Asolo Repertory Theatre Receive $52,000 Grant by Designing Women Boutique & Estate Service

Asolo Repertory Theatre today announced it is the recipient of a $52,000 grant from Designing Women Boutique & Estate Services. The funds were raised through special events and the 2012 business enterprises of Designing Women Boutique and awarded through its grant-making program to support Asolo Rep's Endowment."We are delighted to receive this generous support from Designing Women Boutique & Estate Services for our Endowment," said Tricia Mire, Asolo Rep's Director of Development. "This gift is an investment in Asolo Rep's future, to ensure we can offer our award-winning productions and education programs for generations to come." Designing Women Boutique Board Trustee and Grant Committee Chair Joan Wood added, "Our organization works diligently as a team throughout the year to raise funds for these grants. It's wonderful to see the results of our efforts when we bestow the awards. It reinforces how important our work in the community is and how much the funding means to the organizations that receive it."
Asolo Rep also announced that it will be the site of the Designing Women Boutique 2013 Gala Designed to Give on Monday, December 9, together with Treviso Restaurant. The event will begin with a cocktail hour at 5 p.m., followed by a performance and style show in the Mertz Theatre at 6 p.m. and an auction and dinner at Treviso Restaurant at 8 p.m.Proceeds will benefit a broad array of local nonprofit organizations, including Asolo Rep. In addition, the ever-growing Estates & Downsizing Sales division, under the directorship of founder and CEO Jean Weidner, provides compassionate, full concierge service for handling all of one's treasured estate belongings. Designing Women Boutique welcomes inquiries about this division from attorneys, estate planners and their clients. This not-for-profit's mission is to grow funding for the programs, projects, and endowments of Sarasota's arts and human service organizations. Since its founding in 2002, Designing Women Boutique & Estate Services has given more than $1.5M in grants and merchandise to more than 65 recipients.
