COME FROM AWAY Will Come to Theatre Tallahassee in September
Performances will run September 10-27.
Theatre Tallahassee will present “Come From Away,” the Tony Award-winning musical by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, Sept. 10-27 as part of its 2026-27 Mainstage season. Performances will take place at Theatre Tallahassee, 1861 Thomasville Road, in Tallahassee, Florida.
“Come From Away” is based on the true story of the community of Gander, Newfoundland, which welcomed thousands of airline passengers stranded in the town following the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The musical follows the residents as they accommodate travelers from around the world and navigate cultural differences and unexpected challenges. The production is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
Performances are scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 10, at 8 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 11, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 12, at 8 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 13, at 2 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 18, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 19, at 2 and 8 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 26, at 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. The production has an estimated running time of two hours.
The cast features Haley Mosteller, Kenisha Calhoun, Ileana Rendon, Juliann Cortese, Sarah McCutchan White, Rachael Kage, Jack Hachmeister, Andrew Busenlener, Noah Pilkinton, Mario Williams, Bart Pisapia and Joe Houser. Jessy Reaves directs, with Joshua Butler and Robert M. Nelson serving as music directors and Kelly Greisl as choreographer. The production team also includes stage manager and scenic designer Melissa Findley, lighting designer Patrick Campbell, sound designer Zach Cramer, Costume Designer Sarah Matlow and props designer Kacee Floyd.
Individual tickets for Theatre Tallahassee's 2026-27 season are $27.50 for adults, $22.50 for seniors ages 62 and older and military members, and $17.50 for students. Prices include ticketing fees. Individual tickets for the season went on sale July 21. Theatre Tallahassee notes that musicals can sell out in advance and encourages patrons to purchase tickets ahead of time.
