A pioneering dance innovator, noted for decades of collaborations with leading forces in avant-garde jazz, Dianne McIntyre returns to The Black Rep with a major new work featuring a score by celebrated composer Diedre Murray and poems by Obie-winning playwright Ntozake Shange. This elegant and captivating work employs a live jazz ensemble and a company of dancers to explore the deep rivers of communication in our artistic expressions, in our personal expressions and in our cultural history expressions. The Phoenix Rising Performance Series is presented with support from PNC Arts Alive and NEFA.
The Black Rep is at 210 E Monroe Ave, Kirkwood, MO 63122, Saint Louis, MO.
