TERMS OF ENDEARMENT
July 23-Aug 2, 2026
Aurora, a widowed and controlling mother, and Emma, her feisty and independent daughter, have a close but often strained relationship, connected by frequent phone calls and strong opinions. Emma marries Flap Horton, a young college professor, who turns out to be a philandering husband. Meanwhile, Aurora develops a relationship with her next-door neighbor, Garrett, a retired astronaut.
TERMS OF ENDEARMENT explores the complex relationship between the mother and daughter as they navigate life's challenges including love, marriage, family, and loss with humor and heart.
Director Jessica Johns Kelly is assistant artistic director of Clayton Community Theatre and a familiar figure onstage and offstage in the St. Louis theatre scene. Last season at CCT, she appeared in the role of Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate, and as Maxine Faulk in The Night of the Iguana.
