God of Carnage, winner of three 2009 Tony Awards including Best Play and a 2009 Olivier Award for Best Comedy, is written by Yasmina Reza and translated by Christopher Hampton. The play follows two sets of Brooklyn parents who meet to resolve a playground altercation between their sons, but as diplomatic niceties give way and tensions rise, the couples find more than just their principles in tatters. Directed by Gad Guterman, Associate Professor at the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University, this marks his NJT debut and the first time NJT has produced a work by Reza. The cast features Joel Moses, Christina Rios, Nick Freed, and Bridgette Bassa.
