A unique opportunity to hear the five Beethoven piano concerti, five jewels of the piano repertoire of all time from the hand of one of the most adventurous pianists of the moment. The Austrian Rudolf Buchbinder, who was for the first time the protagonist for this experience at the Musikverein in Vienna in 2011.
The interpretation of this piano series helped Buchbinder to receive the prestigious Echo award in the category of Best Performer of the Year, in 2012. And it is that meeting this challenge is not within the grasp of everyone: the Concerti of Beethoven are major works in international repertoire, deep, complex, virtuosic and also enjoying great popularity. Except Concerto no. 5, "Emperor", they were premiered by Beethoven himself, considered the greatest pianist in Vienna of that time.
