What makes a musical have the popularity for more than 10 years? To answer this question, we can simply look at NOTRE DAME DE PARIS, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary in Korea. Based on the novel written by Victor Hugo, NOTRE DAME DE PARIS has been a best-selling musical in Korea for the past few years. Its opening number, 'The Age of the Cathedrals' is a popular audition song and was sung in different media platforms by several popular musical actors. That is why this year's production gained more attention than ever. The grand 10th-anniversary production of NOTRE DAME DE PARIS is currently performing in the Grand Theater of Sejong Center for the Performing Arts until August 5th.
Audition to Train with the Best when AMDA Comes to Seoul on 15 September

As a response to the fans of this musical, DAL Company and Sejong Center for the Performing Arts came together to revive BUNGEE JUMPING OF THEIR OWN in 2018. When the news that BUNGEE JUMPING OF THEIR OWN is going to come back to the theaters this year spread, this musical became the most anticipated original musical revival of this year.

These are all what one musical, FRANKENSTEIN accomplished throughout the past two productions. Not only that, in 2016, the show made a profit of 10 billion won just in 10 weeks after its first show and in 2017 when the show opened in Japan, it was an all sold- out performance for the whole 23 days of its performance period. With accomplishments like this, FRANKENSTEIN received the nickname as the "revolutionary musical" of this era. In high demand, FRANKENSTEIN has returned for its third performance.

"5,6,7,8." With these 4 numbers shouted by the composer, the overture of CHICAGO was played as dancers filled the stage. On May 22, CHICAGO's Korean Production had the first show of its 14th season. This season is meaningful in that it's the 1000th performance in Korea. With original cast members such as Choi Jeongwon and Ivy and new members such as Kim Jiwoo, the show once again managed to show the audiences why CHICAGO is one of Broadway's longest-running shows and why CHICAGO is a must-see piece of work.

The World Tour of Jekyll and Hyde officially opened on Friday March 10th, at the Blue Square Theatre in Seoul, South Korea. The show is helmed by David Swan a director who has worked on Jekyll and Hyde over the past 12 years in Seoul. The Cast is lead by Kyle Dean Massey as Jekyll, Diana Degarmo as Lucy and Lindsey Blevin as Emma. The Show has been touring various cities in South Korea since November 2016 leading to the opening in Seoul. The production is co-produced by US based Worklight Productions ans Seoul based OD company. Jekyll and Hyde runs at the Blue Square theatre until May 27th.
