Cape Town Opera returns to the wineands with SPARKLING YOUNG STARS, featureing Cecilia Rangwanasha, Siphamandla Yakupa, Nonhlanhla Yende, Frances du Plessis, Johannes Slabbert, Martin Mkhize and Thomas Mohlamme in what promises to be a thrilling evening of classical music, operetta and musical theatre. The eight soloists, accompanied by pianist Paul Ferreira, will offer their glorious voices and inspired interpretations of works by Johann Strauss II, Franz Lehar, Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, Frederick Loewe and Mzilikazi Khumalo, performing favourites from CAMELOT, MY FAIR LADY and DIE FLEDERMAUS, amongst others, as well as a lively African repertoire.
