Grab your magic carpet and come on an exciting adventure with Aladdin as he ventures into the Cave of Treasures to retrieve the legendary lamp containing the most outrageous Genie of them all! But watch out for the evil sorcerer who will stop at nothing to get his hands on the lamp so he can become the most powerful man in the universe…
Bernard Jay is proud to announce the casting of legendary South African radio and television personality (and popular cookbook writer) JEREMY MANSFIELD as the evil Abanazar in Janice Honeyman’s 2013 pantomime at Joburg Theatre, ALADDIN.
“We’ve been after Jeremy for years,” says producer and Joburg Theatre CEO, Jay, “but when an actor is going to work at 4am each day to prepare his radio show, it just isn’t practical to also fit in nine performances a week of a stage show! I’m thrilled he’s finally said yes. Pantomime stars often need to be larger-than-life personalities, so who better than Jeremy?”
