This month, Noce continues its inaugural season of theatre with an immersive production of Tick, Tick... BOOM! Local actors Charlie Reese (Hand to God, Murder Ballad, Avenue Q) and Jill Ziegler (Shrek, Rent) are joined by songwriter and recording artist Madison Ray in Jonathan Larson's Tick, Tick... BOOM!, running for five performances in Noce Jazz Cabaret, February 17-25.

Jonathan Larson's tick…tick…BOOM! closes out 2016 for Nashville's Street Theatre Company, running November 18-December 4 at Holy Trinity Church on Charlotte Pike, starring Christina Candilora, Geoff Davin and Christ Thomas.

Street Theatre Company presents the final musical of its explosive 2016 season, tick...tick...BOOM!. Written by the Pulitzer Prize-winning Jonathan Larson, creator of the Tony Award smash hit RENT [recently in production at TPAC], and David Auburn, whose incredible play Proof earned him his own Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award, tick...tick...BOOM! opened Off-Broadway in 2001 before moving to West End and the London stage.  

While Jonathan Larson's RENT, his 1996 East Village adaptation of Giacomo Puccini, Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa's LA BOHEME, presents a romanticized look at bohemians living in poverty for the sake of their art, his TICK, TICK… BOOM!, now getting a superb Off-Broadway revival via Keen Company, is more of a reality check.

The Jonathan Larson musical should not be missed.

Brandon Victor Dixon and Steven Pasquale will join the previously announced Sutton Foster in Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party, running July 15 - 18, 2015 at New York City Center. (NOTE: Brandon Victor Dixon will replace the previously announced Joshua Henry, who has had a scheduling conflict.) SoLuna Studio will produce the musical THE LAST 5 YEARS as a part their professional mainstage season, with performances running tonight, April 10th-26th.

Performances begin tonight, Friday, March 20 and run through Sunday, April 12. Press night is scheduled for Opening Night Friday, March 27. Appropriate for ages 17 +. As a concert production, there will be no live nudity, though documentary photographs of the original production will be projected.

As a “renthead”, I am thrilled to see Jonathan Larson's autobiographical musical Tick, Tick… BOOM! part of SoLuna Studio's 2015 season. The cast at the charming Long Island venue is super talented and does the show justice in a forum in which it should be presented; an intimate theatre.

The show will has three more performances November 14-16 at the George Frey Center for Arts and Recreation in the Fair Lawn Community Center in Fair Lawn. The $10 ticket price on Friday is half off the usual student price of $20 and is offered to high school and college students with ID.
