Soluna Studio Presents THE LAST 5 YEARS, Now thru 4/26

SoLuna Studio will produce the musical THE LAST 5 YEARS as a part their professional mainstage season, with performances running tonight, April 10th-26th.

This two-person show will feature a different couple for each of the 6 performances. Performances will be held on Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets purchased in advance are $15. THE LAST 5 YEARS, winner of the Drama Desk Award, is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical which tells the story of two New Yorkers, Jamie Wellerstein, a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress, who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show uses a form of storytelling in which Cathy's story is told in reverse chronological order (beginning the show at the end of the marriage), and Jamie's is told in chronological order (starting just after the couple have first met).

THE LAST 5 YEARS was written by Jason Robert Brown, the composer of THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, and PARADE. It premiered at Chicago's Northlight Theatre in 2001 and was then produced Off-Broadway in March 2002. Since then it has had numerous productions both in the United States and internationally. A film adaptation starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan was released in February 2015.

Founded in 2011, SoLuna Studio is a performing arts studio located at 659 Old Willets Path, Hauppauge, NY, which offers a variety of acting, dance, music, and musical theater classes for children, teens, and adults. SoLuna Studio also offers a full professional season, which included the Long Island premier of BONNIE & CLYDE and productions of A CHORUS LINE, XANADU, RENT, BARE, and CARRIE in their 2014 season, and AVENUE Q and TICK...TICK...BOOM! so far in their 2015 season.
