Main Street Theater is producing the regional premiere of 26 Miles by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Quiara Alegría Hudes (In the Heights, The Elliot Trilogy), a frenetic, hilarious, and powerful play about a mother and daughter on a road trip across the country. LAVENDER MEN, An Emancipation Play was developed in Skylight Theatre Company's Skylab and received a SOLD OUT reading at circle in the Square Theatre on Broadway this past summer as part of the Circle Reading Series. Originally scheduled to open at the Skylight Theatre on April 25, a scene from the play written by Roger Q. Mason was performed live on July 2 by Skylight Live, because as Mason shared, a?oeRona ran through and chased us into the Zoom Zoom Rooma?? when rehearsals had to be suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic shutting down live theatre productions.

Always a Bridesmaid is now running at the newly renovated Palace Playhouse in Georgetown,Texas through May 14th. This play is a comical journey of four friends and their high school promise to always be in each other's weddings, no matter how many times. At first glance the play reads like a chick flick movie adapted for the stage, but it was the actors' abilities that illustrated a genuine friendship and their love for each other that made this show more than a stage adaptation. With a cast of six women, Always a Bridesmaid has a simple set and stereotypical characters, but this version gives the actors the freedom to find their bond on stage.

After a 3 month absence, (mostly)musicals made a long-awaited return to the E Spot Lounge on Monday, August 15 with ROAD TRIP, the company's 18th entry in a series of themed cabarets. BroadwayWorld takes you inside the event below!

The music told the story then and it will again this fall as TRIP OF LOVE brings the decade to life with over 25 of the biggest hits of the '60s, including 'Blowin' In The Wind,' 'Born To Be Wild,' 'California Dreamin',' 'I Saw Her Standing There,' 'These Boots Are Made For Walkin',' 'White Rabbit,' 'You Don't Own Me' and many more.

According to Entertainment Weekly, The Simpsons will be taking a trip to the world of Lego in the new episode airing on Fox on May 4th. Producers Brian Kelley and Matt Selman are primarily responsible for the creation of this episode, which they began planning back in 2012.
