Genevieve Wang Production Company's Off-Broadway Production WHERE IS MY MAPLE TOWN is nominated for Yunzhu Zeng's Best Costume Design in 2019 New York Innovative Theatre Awards. Where Is My Maple Town is an original ancient Chinese drama written by Yuting He, telling the story of a scholar who struggles to hold onto his principles in an ancient time which conspires against morality at every turn. During its three-week run Off-Broadway in TheatreRow, the production received positive reviews from China Daily, SinoVision China, World Journal, The China Press, and Tony Award-winning playwright David H. Hwang.

Kentwood Players, the community theater group based at the Westchester Playhouse, was founded in December 1949 by Jan and Arky Marcom, for whom the group's annual Marcom Masque Awards are named. The first Marcom Masque Awards were presented for the 1957-1958 season with Cat on a Hot Tin Roof winning the award for Best Play. The 2018-2019 season included the following six productions: Match, Daddy's Dyin', Who's Got the Will?, Dangerous Obsession, Disney's The Little Mermaid, Our Town, and Sunday in the Park with George. Awards are determined by all Kentwood Players members who voted by secret ballot in several artistic categories after seeing each show, Season Subscribers, and production teams for all shows.

The Drama League presents DirectorFest 2019: The 35th Annual Directors Festival, the only festival in the United States exploring the art of contemporary stage directing, now in its 35th year. The festival will include six fully-staged productions, a showcase evening of a new musical, discussion forums, and conversations with notable American directors. DirectorFest will take place at various locations around NYC: New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street), The Drama League Theater Center (32 Avenue of the Americas), LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (31-10 Thompson Avenue, Long Island City), and Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street). Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize winning classic play OUR TOWN comes to the Kentwood Players stage with a dramatic restaging, directed by Stanley Brown and produced by Kathy Dershimer, opening Friday, January 11 through Saturday, February 16, 2019 on Fri/Sat 8pm, Sun 2pm at the Westchester Playhouse, 8301 Hindry Avenue, LA 90045.
