With the current theatre world on hiatus, I have created a Spotlight Series on Broadway World which features interviews with some of the many talented artists who make our Los Angeles theatre community so exciting and vibrant thanks to their ongoing contribution to keeping the Arts alive in the City of the Angels. And just like all of us, I wondered how they are dealing with the abrupt end of productions in which they were involved. This Spotlight focuses on Michael Leoni, a playwright, bi-coastal director, and co-founder of The 11:11 in WeHo whose productions have brilliantly focused attention on the pitfalls of modern society, especially in the entertainment industry.

Charlie Brooks and Patrick Ryecart play Sally and Mike respectively in the UK tour and London run of Torben Betts's new play MONOGAMY. Janie Dee plays Caroline Mortimer.  They are joined by Jack Archer as Leo, Genevieve Gaunt as Amanda and Jack Sandle as Graeme.

Lucky you. It is unnecessary to go to New York to see a production of this epic. It is now running at Ensemble Theatre as part of their 'We The People' 2017-2018 season. The first segment, subtitled 'Angels in America, Part One: Millennium Approaches,' is running until January 28. In April, 'Angels in America, Part Two: Perestroika,' will be staged at the theatre.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) kicks off its 2017-2018 season with a Western New York-premiere of John, a comedy by Annie Baker. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Okieriete 'Oak' Onaodowan, best known for originating the roles of Hercules Mulligan and James Madison in Hamilton, has officially joined the cast of the new Broadway musical NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 as 'Pierre' beginning last night, July 11th, 2017.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF presents William Shakespeare's comedy, Love's Labour's Lost now through March 24, 2017 in the Margeson Theater. Set in the Roaring Twenties, Love's Labour's Lost will play in repertory with F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby (now through March 26, 2017).
