Yesterday, September 10, The New York Mets partnered with Seraphim12 Foundation on 'Hooves on First' Night at Citi Field when the Mets hosted the Washington Nationals. The fundraiser will raise awareness about the treatment of horses.

Joey from the National Theatre's acclaimed production of War Horse appeared on stage at the Olympic Park to salute Team GB and the world's athletes. Led by Captain Nicholls (Alex Avery), Joey reared in salute to the crowd at Park Live, which included Zara Phillips who along with her team later won silver in the equestrian events in Greenwich. Producers Bob Boyett and the National Theatre of Great Britain present the U.S. tour of the 2011 Tony Award-winning Best Play, War Horse, which launched at the Center Theatre Group's Ahmanson Theatre on June 14 and continues through next Saturday, July 29. Michael McKean (Gore Vidal's The Best Man on Broadway), Annette O'Toole, and Annette's daughter Nell Geisslinger recently visited with Joey after the show. Check out a photo of the group below!

The stars of War Horse Toronto were out in full force today in Toronto, where they galloped down King Street and visited the farmer's market in David Pecaut Square, some children at CBC Kids Day and the Royal Ontario Museum. BWW is thrilled to bring its readers photos from the event.

The West Coast premiere of The National Theatre production of War Horse opens Friday, June 29 at 8 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre. Currently in previews, performances for the powerful drama will continue through July 29, 2012.

The National's sell-out production of Nick Stafford's adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's book transferred to the West End in March this year where it has been playing to packed houses ever since. Last week, just 12 weeks after its opening at the New London Theatre, War Horse recouped its transfer costs, having had a record breaking week of sales in May of over £330,000.
