TACT's rare NY revival of Oliver Goldsmith's She Stoops To Conquer kicks off the theatre's 2016 - '17 season. TACT Artistic Director Scott Alan Evans will direct the production featuring performances from Jeremy Beck* (Widowers' Houses), Cynthia Darlow* (Beyond Therapy), Mairin Lee (The Heiress), James Prendergast* (Happy Birthday),  Tony Roach*(Bright Star), John Rothman (Prelude to a Kiss), Justine Salata*(Lovers), and Richard Thieriot* (Clybourne Park). (*Indicates TACT company member).  She Stoops To Conquer will mark the seventh time that TACT has moved a play from its Salon Series to the Mainstage program. The Tony Award-winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time celebrated a milestone today- its 500th performance on Broadway. The Broadway production of the National Theatre's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time opened to critical acclaim at the Barrymore Theatre on October 5, 2014. The production has gone on to win five Tony Awards including Best Play, six Drama Desk Awards including Outstanding Play, five Outer Critics Circle Awards including Outstanding Production of a Broadway Play, and the Drama League Award for Outstanding Production of a Broadway or off-Broadway Play.
