The Mary Poppins national tour continues its high flying success coast to coast with enormous box office grosses in its inaugural engagement in Chicago and an itinerary that now stretches through August 2010. Additionally, tickets go on sale for the show's Cleveland engagement today and for the St. Louis engagement this Sunday, April 26th.

The Award-winning Broadway musical Mary Poppins and ADVENTURES BY DISNEY, a leader in guided family vacations, partnered to celebrate the show's historic 1000th performance at the New Amsterdam Theatre on Thursday April 9th. To a shower of confetti following the curtain call, the Moore family of Marlboro, NJ were brought on stage, visibly moved, as Thomas Schumacher, producer and president of Disney Theatrical Productions, presented them with a 6-night/7-day vacation to London and Paris.

Award-winning musical MARY POPPINS celebrates its 1000th performance at the New Amsterdam Theatre on Thursday, April 9 becoming one of a rare few musicals in Broadway's history to achieve this milestone. Produced by Cameron Mackintosh and Thomas Schumacher for Disney Theatrical Productions, the Broadway production has grossed over $ 132 million to date, recouped its initial Broadway investment within 52 weeks of its premiere and has been seen by over 1.6 million theatergoers.

Disney Theatrical Productions is celebrating 15 years on Broadway by offering ?$15 FOR 15? - 15 days to purchase companion tickets for THE LITTLE MERMAID, MARY POPPINS or THE LION KING for $15. Beginning at noon this Sunday, April 5 until 11:59 PM on Sunday April 19, theatre-goers will have the opportunity to buy a $15 companion ticket for all three popular Disney on Broadway shows with the purchase of a regular priced ticket to more than 125 performances throughout the spring.

Broadway In Chicago and producers Cameron Mackintosh and Thomas Schumacher are pleased to announce full casting for the eagerly anticipated North American National Tour of MARY POPPINS. Performances begin Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph St.) in preparation for a Wednesday, March 25 opening night. In addition to this Chicago engagement, productions of MARY POPPINS are currently running in NY and on tour in the UK.
As previously announced, the show's two original Broadway stars, Ashley Brown and Gavin Lee, will be reprising their roles as Mary Poppins and Bert respectively on the tour.
