The Resident Acting Company, formed four years ago by the actors of the Pearl Theater Company, has announced casting for a script in hand performance of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream on September 19th at The Players. 

​​​​​​Berkshire Theatre Group has announced casting for shows in BTG’s Late Summer 2022 Season. The full season will feature B.R.O.K.E.N code B.I.R.D switching, a world premiere play and an award recipient of the GRANTS FOR ARTS PROJECTS from the National Endowment for the Arts; Once, a Tony Award-winning musical; Songs For a New World, the first musical by a Tony Award winner; Dracula, a classic gothic tale of horrors; and Edward Albee's Seascape, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play. 

Cygnet Theatre is pleased to announce its full line up for 2022/2023 Season. Fry set the vision and mission of Optimist Theatre, from its founding as Midwest Children’s Theatre in 1993, through its evolution to producer of Shakespeare in the Park in 2010 to the post-pandemic return to live theater.

New York Shakespeare Exchange has announced their upcoming outdoor production of Shakespeare's THE WINTER'S TALE, directed by Liz Thaler. THE WINTER'S TALE begins performances on Saturday, September 18 for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 10. 

National Theatre Live is the true intersection of film and theatre (and affordable too)-they take shows from London's West End and broadcasts them in movie theaters all across the county. NTL is the closest thing audiences have to experiencing the feeling of actually sitting in the theater. 

The season will feature Shakespeare's Measure for Measure directed by Blanche McIntyre, Hamlet directed by Sean Holmes, The Merchant of Venice directed by Abigail Graham, and a festive reimagining of Hans Christian Andersen's The Fir Tree written by Hannah Khalil. Alongside productions in the Playhouse, there will also be two week-long festivals (including the return of Shakespeare and Race) and half-term events for families.

The Winter's Tale is part of Cal Shakes' ongoing Season of Shared Light that included performances from Destiny Arts and Bandaloop, West Edge Opera, Papermoon Presents, and Good Medicine: A Night of Native Stand-Up Comedy, among others. 

Yale Repertory Theatre will welcome audiences back to its theaters beginning in January 2022 for a season of three plays! The season will begin with a new production of Today is My Birthday, a critically-acclaimed comedy about loneliness in the age of connectivity, written by Susan Soon He Stanton and directed by Mina Morita.

After having closed its doors to the public in March 2020 due to COVID-19, the Alley Theatre has announced its plans to reopen the theatre in Fall 2021. Reopening the Alley Theatre coincides with its 75th Anniversary Season with performances beginning on October 1, 2021.
