World University of Design Celebrates First Convocation Ceremony

World University of Design unveiled its pioneering batches on Thursday, June 2nd, 2022 at World University of Design campus in Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Sonipat, Haryana. To grace the occasion was present Chief Guest, Hon’ble Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways who encouraged budding designers with his insightful and motivating speech.

PlayPenn Announces Playwright Finalists For Its Annual Conference, Reintroduced

After a new rigorous play submission and selection process, PlayPenn today announced the final six plays and playwrights that will be featured at the nonprofit organization's restructured annual Conference. The three-week conference will be hosted at The Drake in Philadelphia over a three-week period, between July 5 and July 24.

The Sugar Ridge Rag, a play by Philip Middleton Williams, premiered at LAB Theater Project in Tampa’s Historic Ybor City on April 28, 2022. The story is a complex, yet simplistic study of the life of an average family in rural Ohio, and what lies at the depths of family values and the definition of true love. From the synopsis found on the Playbill; Pete and Dave Granger, age 17, are twin brothers in rural northwest Ohio in 1970. Dave enlists in the Army; Pete goes to Canada to pursue his career in music. Over the next five years, their lives are changed by the Vietnam War and the choices they made. Deb and Hal, their parents, are left to deal with the consequences of their actions and their future as a family.
