As previews begin for Viva Forever, Spice Girls fan sites are abuzz with the news that some of their most famous hits as a group and as solo artists - and best-loved album tracks - are currently featured in the show.

Producer JUDY CRAYMER has announced the cast of VIVA FOREVER!, the new musical written by one of Britain's most brilliant comediennes and BAFTA winning writers JENNIFER SAUNDERS, (Absolutely Fabulous, French & Saunders) and featuring the multi-million-selling songs of THE SPICE GIRLS.

The musical has already earned more than £1 million in ticket sales - and it won't even open officially until 11 December, 2012. Half of the earnings, the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye reports today, were from the first day that they were available.

The musical, to be directed by Paul Garrington, will reportedly open at the Piccadilly Theatre in Decmber 2012.

According to the dailymail.co.uk, Victoria Beckham has refused to take part in a reality TV casting show for the VIVA FOREVER Spice Girls musical.

While Marianne Elliott had been on board to direct the upcoming musical inspired by the Spice Girls' success, The Daily Mail reports today that Elliot, winner of a 2011 Tony Award for WAR HORSE, has departed the production. As workshops continue, Paul Garrington (MAMMA MIA) will step in.
