Vineyard Theatre and Developing Artists will partner again to present Developing Artists' REBEL VERSES Youth Arts Festival, Thursday through Saturday August 9-18 at Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15th St.). Since the festival's inception in 2001, REBEL VERSES has provided young artists, ages 13-19, with the opportunity to collaborate and network with their peers and prominent artists, and to showcase their original work. This two-week event, now in its second season Off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre, will feature over one hundred artists and performers from ten young-artist companies hailing from all five boroughs of New York City and beyond.

One of the best things about raising your family in the New York City area is the eclectic and diverse options of experiences available to help educate, inspire and entertain it's developing youth. For 22 years, Kids 'N Comedy has done just that, with its widely popular stand up comedy classes and rave reviewed club stand-up shows for teens that attracts kids from all five boroughs and beyond.

REDCAT, CalArts' downtown center for contemporary arts, announces adventurous international and LA performances featured in the ambitious new Fall 2018 season at REDCAT, including stunning stagecraft and object theater from Rotterdam, the world premiere of a new dance and video work by LA company David Rousseve/Reality, a slyly funny and poignant collaboration by German/British collective Gob Squad with six LA performers, a hilarious political musical-theater project by art collective My Barbarian, and the return of Christiane Jatahy with a Brazilian take on Chekhov's Three Sisters, which uses genius film techniques.

The French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural institution, today announced Crossing The Line Festival 2018, featuring leading international artists in a wide-ranging program of events, performances, and exhibitions from September 18 to October 13, 2018. Thirteen year old Ajibola Tajudeen, better known as Keeme, is the host of New Paradigm Theatre's brand new web series debuting here on BroadwayWorld. 'Konversations with Keeme' is show where Keeme interviews seasoned television and film professionals like Tamara Tunie of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Renee Lawless of Tyler Perry's The Have and the Have Nots, as well as Broadway veterans such as Emmy and Grammy winner, Paul Bogaev, Emmy-nominated Scott Bryce, and Broadway pros Christine Dwyer, Kelly Grant, Juwan Crawley and more.

LOVELOUD Festival Powered By AT&T reached its goal of raising $1,000,000 Saturday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, UT.  This year the LOVELOUD Foundation is donating its proceeds from the festival to LGBTQ+ organizations including Encircle, the Tegan and Sara Foundation and the Trevor Project.  The SOLD-OUT festival saw people coming from all corners of country, and Lt. Governor Spencer Cox read an official proclamation from Governor Gary Herbert that declared July 28, 2018 'LOVELOUD Day' in Utah.

NewArts presents Newsies, the Tony Award-winning Broadway phenomenon, August 3 -12 at Masuk High School in Monroe, CT. The musical is based on the historical newsboy strike of 1899 that shook the ivory towers of William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer. The history lesson leaps onto the stage with soul-stirring music, amazing heart, and stunning choreography and stars over 120 area youth onstage, backstage and in the orchestra.

Broadway by the Bay struts their way into August with the disco dancing, finger pointing, hip-swerving hit Broadway musical, Saturday Night Fever. Based on the 1976 New York Magazine article "Tribal Rights of the New Saturday Night" and one of the most popular movie musicals of all time, this all new stage production will feature over a dozen classic songs by the Grammy Award-winning group the Bee-Gees, dazzling choreography, and the iconic fashion looks of the 70s disco era.

On September 28, Reprise Records will release An American Treasure—a career-spanning Tom Petty box set. The 60-track set unveils dozens of previously unreleased recordings, alternate versions of classic songs, rarities, historic live performances and deep tracks that spotlight Tom's remarkable depth and evolution as a revered and tremendously influential songwriter, recording artist and performer. An American Treasure marks the first release of Tom Petty music since the artist's tragic passing in October 2017.

The Ojai Playwrights Conference (OPC), one of the nation's most acclaimed new play development programs, announces its 21st season with another inspirational and though-provoking program featuring playwrights, new play workshop presentations, and special performance events from August 5 through 12, 2018 in Ojai, California.

Deeply Rooted Dance Theater (DRDT) conducts its 20th annual Summer Intensive, themed "Looking to the Youth," for 80+ national and international students from ages seven to 70 June 25-July 21 at its home studio, 17 N. State Street in downtown Chicago, along with offerings at the Bartlett Center, 5841 S. Maryland Ave. on the University of Chicago campus, and Palmer Park, 201 E. 111th Street, Chicago, in partnership with the Chicago Park District. The Intensive culminates in performances July 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Reva and David Logan Center, 915 E. 60th Street in Hyde Park.

Nederlands Dans Theater 2 will kick off its 2019 U.S. tour with a program of four works at New York City Center, running January 16 - 19, 2019. The program has been revised and will now feature: A New York premiere and a repertoire favorite by house choreographers Sol Leon and Paul Lightfoot, and American premieres by associate choreographer Marco Goecke and Edward Clug.

The Las Vegas Philharmonic will mark its 20th Anniversary on July 4, 2018 with a live outdoor concert, Zambelli fireworks, food & beverage and family fun in a community celebration.  The event is presented in partnership with The Vegas Golden Knights Foundation and Bank of Nevada. 

Porchlight Music Theatre's Mainstage 2018 - 2019 season launches with Gypsy, A Musical Fable, October 12 - November 25, at The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street, with book by Arthur Laurents, music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.

Irondale is proud to present the New York premiere of Sea of Common Catastrophe, a surreal multimedia theater work that grapples with complicity in the face of rapid urban change. Designed and directed by Jeff Becker, who leads a team of fellow New Orleans-based artists, Sea of Common Catastrophe follows three long-time residents of a tiny seaside town whose lives are uprooted when a compelling stranger arrives. Inspired by a passage from Gabriel Garcia Marquez's novella Sea of Lost Time-where a town drowns on a Sunday afternoon but persists, submerged, in its daily life, as if the deluge had never occurred-Sea of Common Catastrophe uses spectacular lighting and video, live music, and an innovative two-story set to evoke a changing landscape of upscale living and chic restaurants that suddenly transforms into a magical sunken world.

The Las Vegas Philharmonic will start selling its FLEX PASS to patrons on Monday, July 2, 2018.  This will be the fourth concert season that the Philharmonic has offered the Flex Pass as an alternative to its traditional subscription packages.  FLEX PASS is a membership-based program that offers customization and flexibility for patrons to decide which concert(s) they want to attend at a later date.  The FLEX PASS offers 6 seats to any of the Philharmonic's Reynolds Hall performances in the upcoming 2018?2019 season.  The seats can be redeemed all at once or broken into any configuration, using up to a maximum of 6 seats.  

Music and dance fill the Lackland Performing Arts Center as the Centenary Stage Company announces its 2018 - 19 full season line up of events. In addition to CSC's professional theatrical productions, the 2018 - 19 season will see the return of the January Thaw Music Festival alongside a plethora of new concerts and dance performances.

King of Cuba, a new comedy by award-winning writer Cristina Garcia, opens with a press night on Saturday, July 21, and runs through August 19 (previews July 19 & 20) at the historic Berkeley City Club. The summer adventure of the Central Works 2018 season King of Cuba, is developed by Ms. Garcia in the Central Works Writers Workshop featuring the lesbian-gender-bending comedian Marga Gomez, and the Grammy-winning "bongocero" Carlos Caro. All are Cubanx celebrities living in the Bay Area. Directed by Gary Graves, the full cast includes Marco Aponte, Leticia Duarte, Elena Garrity, Marga Gomez, Ben Ortega and Steve Ortiz.
