Australian theatre artist Ningali Lawford-Wolf passed away on 11th August during the run of The Secret River at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The Mother is a powerful, narrative dance production choreographed and directed by master storyteller Arthur Pita which has its London premiere at the Southbank Centre Queen Elizabeth Hall in June. BroadwayWorld has learned that The Muny announced today 25 principal cast members for the first season of its second century. Complete company casting will be announced throughout April and May. The 101st season opens on a brand new, state-of-the-art stage with Muny favorite Guys and Dolls followed by the U.S. regional premiere of Kinky Boots. Sixteen years ago (2003) Golden Girls LIVE: On Stage! was created by real-life couple Peter Mac and John Mac as a loving tribute in the style of Brady Bunch LIVE. The Macs created a loving drag parody of everyone's favorite sitcom, which played to sold out audiences at the now-shuttered Rose's Turn in the West Village. The show uses on-target impersonations of the original actresses as source material (they play Estelle Getty and Beatrice Arthur, respectively) and creates original improv-parody situations to bring the girls back for the reunion fans never got.

Tony Award-winner Anna D. Shapiro will direct the upcoming musical The Devil Wears Prada, with music by Sir Elton John, lyrics by Shaina Taub, and book by Paul Rudnick.
