For the second year in a row, Planet Ant Theatre is producing a live staged reading of local writer Steve Hughes' original 'zine "Stupor." The event will take place at the Planet Ant Hall in Hamtramck, MI on Saturday, October 6 at 8pm. The 2018 issue "All Dressed Up and Nowhere" features true stories inspired by the theme "costume," retold through Hughes' unique, captivating lens.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the independent, not-for-profit affiliate of SDC, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, today announced unique plans for its 2019 award evening, which will feature original choreographic pieces resulting from a special commissioning program, with the application period now open. SDCF also announced that Victoria Traube would receive a special 'Mr. Abbott' Award at the event, to be held March 25 at the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF).

Garry Marshall Theatre is proud to present Josefina Lopez's coming of age comedy "Real Women Have Curves" as the first production opening its second season. This new production of the iconic Latina story that inspired the Sundance award-winning film of the same name, is set in present day and features script updates that tackle issues women face today, making it as relevant now as it was when first written in 1988. The production runs from Oct. 12 through Nov. 18.

Premiering at venues in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens, the festival will run October 1-7, 2018.
