Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full company for the world premiere of Kenneth Lin's timely cautionary tale of capitalism run amok, Kleptocracy. Inspired by the power struggle between the richest of the Oligarchs and an ambitious Vladimir Putin after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Lin (House of Cards) explores U.S. - Russia relations then and now. Directed by Jackson Gay, and by special arrangement with Robert Ahrens, Mickey Liddell and Michael Mills, Kleptocracy runs January 18 - February 24, 2019 in the Kreeger Theater.

"The Color Collective was created in order to provide a platform so that no matter who you are, you would see yourself represented on stage," says Creator and Executive producer Royce Shockley, "When I first started performing a few years ago, there was a severe lack of representation in comedy and I wanted to help change that." With a refreshingly unique brand of comedy, a live DJ, and an ever expanding performance schedule, the group is definitely on target to accomplish that goal.

For eight years, Off Center for the Dramatic Arts (Off Center, the OC) has worked to provide a home for independent theatre and performance in Burlington. We want to celebrate our community with a special two-week festival doing what we love best: presenting vibrant local theatre and performing artists. The Spring Open Artist Showcase is a two-week festival running May 30-June 9, 2018. Four have been selected by lottery to present a 60-minute show (each) on a double bill for one weekend at Off Center for the Dramatic Arts, with performance rental, technical support and group festival promotion provided by Off Center at no charge to artists.

Joining the cast are Samson Ajewole (Cooper), Jenna Augen (Ruth Monaghan), Jack Baldwin (Officer Shuck), Leonard Cook (Robin Freeboys), Matt Douglas-Hunt (Mitch Ruscitti) and Peter McGovern (Warren Slax). Continuing their roles as the bars-crossed lovers are Samuel Fogell (Sam Monaghan) and Holly Sumpton (Caprice Freeboys), and literally completing the cast is Chris Leask (Everyone Else).
