OLD FRENEMIES By Wendy M. Bain To Make US Premiere In The Hollywood Fringe Festival

British playwright Wendy M. Bain brings her comedy play about settling old scores and finding true love, OLD FRENEMIES, to the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

'A modern farce about settling old scores and finding true loves and hopefully saving a few red squirrels!'

"It is a comedy based on my experience. I was horrified to find out the owner of the farm cottage we were staying in was my old frenemy from my teenage years that took my boyfriend off me," Bain joked. "We just pretended not to know each other but the memories about her stealing my boyfriend, and how a close female friendship can flip into a vicious rivalry, came flooding back. I couldn't wait to get out of the cottage and back to London." The weekend, although displeasing at the time, provided Bain with the perfect inspiration for her play.

OLD FRENEMIES boasts a cast of LA-imported British & Australian talent including Craig Robert Young (The Vortex -Best Dramatic Actor, Stage Scene Awards, 'The Last Ship. NCIS: LA.) Nick Hardcastle (Priscilla Queen of the Dessert, Ruben Guthrie, Pure Genius), Richard Rennie (Unverified. Call Me By Your Maid). Lisa Gorgin (White Gold, Forbidden Truth, Vlog Stars) and the playwright/actor herself, Wendy Meredith Bain (Peep Show (Netflix) Ill Behavior (Showtime) Fresh Meat (Hulu) Babylon (Sundance).

To bridge the gap from across the pond is American Director: Justin Anthony Long (CBS Diversity Showcase, City of Dreams). 'This is a comedy of secrets, marital problems and squirrels. It's a modern farce. As an American comedy and theatre lover who grew up laughing at shows like Noises Off! and 'Little Britain,' I immediately fell in love with OLD FRENEMIES. You don't need to be British to find it downright hysterical.'

Miranda Richard, stage manager has been studying lighting design and stage managing for almost ten years (Stan Zimmerman).
