'We are excited to be back in the performing saddle and having a blast working together. The show will be lots of fun with some sweet moments. And everyone will certainly relate to the universal themes in relationship dramas,' says Jenkins. 'We are also thrilled to be joined by Musical Director Andrew Smithson who was with us for our 2011 Harbor Lights' productions of Marry Me a Little, and Amahl and the Night Visitors, and is himself a consummate artist and musician. The Skivvies' Nick Cearley to Lead AN ACT OF GOD at B Street Theatre

A series of tweets on the parody account @TheTweetofGod landed American comedy writer David Javerbaum a book deal. Eventually that book, The Last Testament: A Memoir By God, was adapted for the stage and renamed as An Act of God. The stage version premiered at Broadway's Studio 54 Theatre in 2015 with Big Bang Theory sitcom star Jim Parsons in the leading role. A second run featured Will & Grace's Sean Hayes in the leading role, and now the B Street Theatre will give the holy role to Nick Cearley (Buyer & Cellar). (more...)

Convicted Producer Garth Drabinsky Banned From Running Publicly Traded Companies

The Ontario Securities Commission has decided to permanently ban Garth Drabinsky from being a director or officer in a public company. The 16 year old case finally concluded today. "Salutations!" This fall, the Center for Puppetry Arts invites families to experience an entertaining production of Charlotte's Web, based on E.B. White's classic novel. In this beloved tale, farm pig Wilbur finds a friend in Charlotte The Spider, and Charlotte-with the help of some of the barnyard's most colorful residents, including Templeton the gluttonous rat-saves Wilbur from a cruel fate with her wit, words and webs. The show spins an enduring tale of the triumph of friendship and the power of language, adapted from the novel for the stage by Joseph Robinette and directed by Tim Sweeney. Charlotte's Web is produced at the Center by special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing of Woodstock, Illinois.  (more...)

Filled with ABBA's timeless songs, including 'Dancing Queen' and 'Voulez Vous,' get ready to have the time of your life July 28-29-30 seeing MAMMA MIA! at the Hollywood Bowl, directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall and conducted by David Holcenberg. Kathleen Marshall is one of Broadway's most celebrated artists. Honored numerous times for her work on stage and screen, she has won three Tony Awards (with six more nominations) and two Drama Desk Awards (four additional nominations). Marshall has also been nominated for both an Olivier and an Emmy.
